Current Top 10 Team Standings:
As good as Team USA was at U23 Worlds, it's worth pointing out that the Russian team is unable to score team points because of sanctions placed upon them from the war in Ukraine. Because of that, Russian athletes are listed as "AIN", which means Individual Neutral Athletes. In the below table, you'll see that if Russia was in the official team race, they would have won by 41 points. Russia had an incredible tournament with 8 total medals - 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze.
Here's how the team scores break down by weight:
Team points are calculated according to UWW’s top 10 placement points for world championship team scoring: 25, 20, 15, 15, 10, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2.
