Pittsburgh, PA – Rune Lawrence will lead the Pennsylvania All-Star Team in the Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Lawrence, from Frazier High School, is #3 ranked wrestler in the country at 215 lbs. by FloWrestling. He will face Sawyer Bartlett, the #1 ranked wrestler from South Dade High School, in Florida.

Lawrence won his fourth WPIAL Championship by pinning all his opponents in the first period. During his four years contending for WPIAL titles, Lawrence pinned all 14 of his rivals. His WPIAL title along with his older brother Thayne, made them the first set of brothers to win four WPIAL titles.

Rune and Thayne are the only two wrestlers from their small high school in Perryopolis, PA, to represent the PA All-Stars. Thayne was set to compete in Classic XLVII, in 2020, but the competition was cancelled due to Covid.

Lawerence is committed to WVU and Bartlett to Iowa State, both schools compete in the Big 12 Conference.
