New York state's most competitve preseason wrestling tournament, and an honorary FloMajor, the Journeymen Classic just went next level.  250+ competitors from 28 states and Canada will take to the mats in Niskayuna, NY this Saturday and Sunday, October 4th and 5th.  All action will be covered LIVE on Flowrestling.

Middle School Division and Classic OverFlo
Saturday competition at Journeymen features both middle school and high school wrestlers.  The middle school tournament will be run in its entirety while the high school division serves as a qualifier for Sunday's high school tournament.  Winners of high school "Classic OverFlo" pools will earn slots in the "Best of the Best" pools the next day. 

Best of the Best & Best of the Rest
Sunday competition at Journeymen will be constituted "Best of the Best" and "Best of the Rest" pools where wrestlers will compete in a round-robin format of brackets featuring up to eight wrestlers. Wrestlers in each pool will be crowned Sunday evening.

Journeymen Hammers
Perhaps the most special thing about this year's Journeymen Classic is the competition level.  As mentioned in our What to Watch For, this year's tournament features 19 wrestlers ranked in the top 10 in the country and 3 wrestlers ranked  #1 in the respective weight classes, including: Nick Suriano (120lbs), Nick Piccininni (126lbs) and Isaiah White (152lbs). Over 20% of high school wrestlers competing are ranked top 20 in the country, with many of these wrestlers being State Champions, Fargo All Americans, Fargo Champions.  Needless to say, if you place high at Journeymen this weekend, you're a freaking hammer.  And hammers deserve to be reciprocated for their success.
