Nick Reenan Leads Team USA At Junior Pan American Championships
So, when it comes to the Pan American Championships I guess we could say that Team USA just shows up and puts in some work.
The Senior level USA team(s) – both Freestyle and Greco Roman – stole the show and took home the title along with a number of gold medals a few weeks ago, and the Juniors came pretty close to doing the same as Nick Reenan lead them to a second place finish (behind Cuba) at the Freestyle tournament.
Reenan was a double champion as he claimed the 74kg Freestyle and Greco titles while in Havana. Fellow Wyoming Seminary Blue Knights Danny Boychuck, Chris Weiler and Mike Rogers also brought home some hardware. Boychuck was second at 66kg in Greco as Weiler took the bronze. Rogers was second in Freestyle at 120kg.
Cade Olivas, the top-ranked 106-pounder in the country, was also a freestyle champ 55kg along with third-ranked Gavin Teasdale, who won the 50kg Freestyle title. Taylor LaMont and Ethan Anderson were Greco bronze medalists at 60 and 84kg, respectively.
