Isaiah Martinez Is Ready For A Fight
Isaiah Martinez is always ready for a fight!
Episode one of To Hell and Back: Isaiah Martinez airs tomorrow and we will finally get to hear his story of who he is, where he came from and what motivates him. Check out the series trailer here.
The Illinios sophomore had as successful a season as one can have, and he did it as a freshman. IMAR ran the table in a tough 157 pound weight class going 38-0 and claiming the NCAA crown. But things weren't always so perfect for the California native. He has had his share of ups and downs but has definitely seemed to make the most of them.
Along with all of the physical and technical attributes he possesses, IMAR seems to have a strong mind that has helped get him to where he's at. He knows that he has the potential to make history, but he also has a level enough head to know that perfection can consume you.
Enjoy this little snack now and get ready to feast on the first episode tomorrow.
“I’m not gonna say that I’m gonna try and win every match. I’m not gonna say that I want to be perfect, because perfection can consume you. But, I said I was going to be ready every single time. No one was going to catch me off guard ever again. I was never going to lose because I wasn’t ready or I wasn’t prepared or my mind wasn’t in the right place.
A big reason why I was able to be so consistent this past year was because something like that. My mind was always ready to go I was always ready for a fight. I didn’t care if you had a gun, I was going to take you to hell and back with me."
The series trailer came out on October 21 and @illiniwrestling had a little fun with the Back to the Future Day:
