In a late twist, Frank Molinaro has been awarded an automatic berth to the World Team Trials finals.

We reported yesterday that Jordan Oliver informed us he would not be wrestling this weekend. At the time, we wrote that there would be no one sitting in the trials finals, per USA Wrestling's official procedures.

Oliver said that he would petition for a special later wrestle-off. However, per article IV of the general WTT procedures, only Olympic/world medalists can request a special wrestle-off:

Only a 2016 Olympic/world medalist who earned an automatic berth into the final wrestle-off can request a delay for competing in the Final Wrestle-Off for medical reasons at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled weigh-in time (no request for delay will be allowed, or granted, with less than 48 hours before weigh-in).

Since this is the case, this very likely rules out the possibility that Jordan Oliver is not competing due to an injury.
