Just like a season ago, this weekend's Daktronics Open will be the first glimpse we get of some young and talented college freshmen.

Last year, Nebraska's Chad Red made his debut in the season-opening meet at South Dakota State, and now this year a host of new Huskers such as Jason Renteria, Isaiah White, and Mikey Labriola will be doing the same at Frost Arena in Brookings, SD, on Sunday.

Though he will be wrestling unattached, SDSU freshman heavyweight Kevin Vough will also see his first college competition this weekend. 

In addition to the list of entries below, it has been confirmed that No. 1-ranked high schooler and three-time world champ Gable Steveson will be wrestling in the tournament along with fellow high schoolers Patrick McKee and SDSU commit Alex Lloyd. Both Steveson and McKee are committed to join their siblings, Bobby and Mitch, respectively, at Minnesota next year. The elder Steveson and McKee brothers will be in action for the Gophers at the Daktronics Open as well.
