Year 2 For The Bulldogs

Fresno State made a huge return to NCAA wrestling a season ago where they ranked top five in attendance and had two wrestlers - Khristian Olivas and AJ Nevills - finish the year as NCAA qualifiers. With the addition of some newcomers and the energy surrounding this program, it’s safe to say that they are reason enough to tune in.

Return of Anthony Ashnault

The final year of mobbin’ begins as Anthony Ashnault makes his return to the lineup for Rutgers. Ashnault will be in the lineup at 149 after being out during the entire 2017-18 season due to injury and receiving a medical redshirt. He got back to action at the US Open, but it was clear he still had to shake off some ring rust. Now he’s ready to go once again with the ‘R’ on his chest.

Justin Mejia Makes NCAA Debut

He’s had quite the journey but now after some time spent on the sidelines the four-time California state champion will make his NCAA debut. Like Ashnault, he was in the mix at the US Open. Now he will pull up his straps and get into the action at 125 for Fresno State.

New Additions To Rutgers lineup

The Scarlet Knights with also have some newcomers in the lineup this weekend as Stephan Glasgow and Christian Colucci, a transfer from Lehigh, get into the mix. Glasgow will be in the 165 spot and Colucci will be at heavyweight.

Watch Olivas give Fresno State it's first home win last season:
