This will be a battle between two very historical teams and there are plenty of things to look out for when they meet.
1) 5 Ranked Matchups
The first five matchups of the entire dual will feature guys ranked in the top 20 going head-to-head.
125: #4 Nick Piccininni, OSU vs #9 Sean Russell, Minnesota
133: #10 Daton Fix, OSU vs #6 Ethan Lizak, Minnesota
141: #4 Kaid Brock, OSU vs #14 Mitch McKee, Minnesota
149: #5 Boo Lewallen, OSU vs #12 Tommy Thorn, Minnesota
157: #20 Andrew Shomers, OSU vs #9 Steve Bleise, Minnesota
Last time Piccininni and Russell met, it was epic:
2) #10 Daton Fix vs #6 Ethan Lizak
After Fix battle with the 2018 NCAA champ the day before, he follows it up with the 2017 NCAA runner-up a day later. This will be a huge test for both guys, but more so for Fix who will be going up against one of the best top games in the NCAA.
Check out a breakdown of Fix's huge weekend!
3) OK State At 165-174-184?
Oklahoma State has a bit of dilemma on its hands here so expect to see some juggling. At OCU Chandler Rogers wrestled 174 and Dakota Geer was the lone guy to wrestle at 184. But in this part of the lineup the Cowboys could throw out a few different combinations that include Joe Smith, Rogers, Geer or Jacobe Smith. Joe Smith is coming off a redshirt year and could possibly be in the spot at 165, the spot that Rogers manned all of last season. It’s a question mark that will leave someone sitting on the bench. The do take on SDSU the day before, but with that type of firepower in this part of the lineup, we could see a different combination out on the mat on each night.

4) Gable’s Redshirt Comes Off
The redshirt will be pulled! Gable Steveson has wrestled in a few tournaments this season and remained in the realm of the redshirt. And now , it's time for the multiple time world champ to make his debut in the lineup for the Gophers. Coach Eggum has confirmed that the #1 recruit in the class of 2018 will be making his debut in the lineup against #3 Derek White on Sunday.
Looks like our very own Wrestling Nomad, who gave a serious argument for Minnesota to #EnableTheGable, had a point. Check Nomad's reasoning here!
5) #14 Mckee - #4 Brock Rivalry Continues
Raise your hand if you’ve seen these guys wrestle before. Everyone’s hands should be in the air, actually both hands should be up because the amount of time these two have wrestled is crazy. It’s basically a lifetime’s worth of Mckee vs Brock results. But what’s one more, right? Both guys have bumped from 133 to 141 this year and will look to keep things going. It’s always a good time when they link up so make sure you don’t miss it.
