Kayla Miracle, one of the team captains, announced on the Mark Bader Show on Tuesday morning that she has withdrawn from the competition, due to injury.

While she is not competing, Miracle will still serve as the team’s captain. Replacing her for competition at 62 kg is 2019 Pan American champion Julia Salata. Another change to the Team Miracle roster is at 68 kg due to Covid protocol, where Kennedy Blades, Miracle’s first-round draft pick, will be replaced by Ashlynn Ortega, a WCWA All-American for King University.

There are two other changes, coming from Team Sarah Hildebrandt and Team Victoria Francis.

On Team Hildebrandt, originally slated to compete at 53 kg, Tiare Ikei will sit out for the competition. Taking her place is two-time Junior World Team member Alex Hedrick.

Team Francis is also replacing the 53 kg starter as Peyton Prussin is withdrawing from the event. Competing for Team Francis this weekend will be All-American for McKendree Felicity Taylor.
