Hafizov is a US Greco-Roman wrestler originally from Uzbekistan. He was a representative for Uzbekistan on the senior level for eight years and even represented the country at the 2008 Olympics. Following a change of domicile, Hafizov enlisted in the US Army in 2015 and began training with their World Class Athletes Program (WCAP).
