It's hard to overstate how much exciting college wrestling took place this past weekend. All seven conferences held their championships over the last few days and determined the majority of the qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Championships that will take place in less than two weeks in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Big Ten, the nation's toughest and deepest college wrestling conference will hold their championship on Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10 in the Xfinity Center on the University of Maryland's College Park campus, and no we have the pressed for the tournament!

This episode follows the Ohio State Buckeyes and their strong freshman class to their first competition of the year, the Michigan State Open. At this event we focus in on Jesse Mendez, Nic Bouzakis, Luke Geog and Seth Shumate.

The largest of all the weight classes; the most powerful and gargantuan of all the collegiate divisions; the giants, the titans, brobdingnagians. And yet all will weigh no more than ten percent less than the average NFL lineman.

Audrey Jimenez will wrestle for a spot in the women's freestyle finals while Bennett Berge (86 kg) wrestles for gold and Jaxon Smith (92 kg) and Nick Feldman (125 kg) wrestle for bronze. The action begins at 9:45 a.m. Eastern.

The United States has a big session on the second day of action at the U20 World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Three Americans are wrestling for gold and one for bronze. Nick Feldman was the #1 ranked pound-for-pound wrestler in the class of 2022 and brings an incredible amount of hype with him to Ohio State. He's won practically every tournament a high school wrestler can win and hasn't lost in well over 2 years. Feldman looks poised to earn multiple All-American honors and challenge for national titles every year. He has to be the favorite to win gold at the U20 world championships, right? Not so fast! Let me introduce you to Iran’s 125kg U20 World Team representative - Amirreza Masoumi.

Below are our world team members in all three styles for the upcoming U17 (Cadet) World Championships, to be held in Rome, Italy from July 25-31, and the U20 (Junior) World Championships, to be held in Sofia, Bulgaria from August 15-21.

U20 Nationals (formerly known as UWW Junior Nationals) is one of my favorite age-level tournaments every year. The top high school upperclassmen get to test themselves against the best first or second year college guys who are often hungry to compete coming out of redshirt. It's the first step in making the Junior World Team as the winner of this event will earn an automatic berth to the best-of-three wrestle-off series against the World Team Trials challenge tournament champion in June.

the U20 division at the US Open attracts some of the most ambitious high schoolers and young college wrestlers, and the U17 World Team Trials are one of the pinnacles in the sport. As a result, more than 100 ranked high school wrestlers will be in action in Las Vegas this weekend. Check out the ranked wrestlers and their full fields below.

With wrestlers across three age divisions and two styles, Ohio State fans will have plenty of wrestling to watch at the US Open. Starting Friday, April 29, Ohio State fans can get a good look at where some current wrestlers stack up on the senior ladder and how a couple of key guys from one of the best recruiting hauls we’ve seen recently will compete at the college level.

A 13th place finish at the national tournament isn’t quite what Ohio State wrestling fans have become accustomed to under head coach Tom Ryan. However, they have a lot to be excited about with both the amount of talent returning and the fact that they are bringing in one of the best recruiting classes of all time.
