On opening weekend of NCAA wrestling, we've seen a number of the nation's top high school wrestlers test themselves against college wrestling talent. Here's how they did.

Wrestling season is here! We've already had two D1 duals and there are a bunch more on tap + some great tournaments this weekend. Opening weekend is an exciting time to see who made jumps in the off-season and who is still isn't in postseason shape yet. Below are all the events going down this weekend plus the five things we'll be zeroing in on.

College wrestling season is finally here! Things get kicked off this weekend with the likes of the Southeast Open, Princeton Open, and Clarion Open among other events.

Every fall we see some of the best high schoolers in the country travel to Greensboro, N.C. to battle it out for a Super 32 belt. It seems every season that the brackets at Super 32 become deeper and deeper, with many ranked guys entered into each weight class. This weekend will be no different. Currently, there are over 160 guys ranked in the top 20 in their weight class entered for the 2022 Super 32.

There's nothing quite like Super 32. This year's field includes over 60% of the nation's 280 top-twenty-ranked wrestlers. That group includes eight of 14 #1's and six weights where the two highest-ranked wrestlers at the weight could square off for the number one spot. Here's everything you need to know about the contenders at each weight along with seeds (completed by Willie Saylor), a synopsis of each weight, and our predictions which are sure to be blown up by deep fields of hungry competitors.

Super 32 is a little over a week away, and this year's field is as deep as ever. Eight different #1 ranked wrestlers will be in action, and six different weights will have both #1 and #2. Check out the full list of top-twenty ranked wrestlers below which includes over 160 ranked athletes.

The Journeymen Fall Classic annually hosts some of the nation's toughest high school wrestlers, and this year is no different. Check out everyone registered for the main event below with national rankings listed where applicable. With potential matchups like #1 Jax Forrest vs #2 Luke Lilledahl and #2 Tyler Kasak vs #4 PJ Duke, you won't want to miss this action.

Fans of NCAA wrestling won't want to miss the Elite 8 Duals this weekend. With more than a couple dozen college commits representing 19 schools and a ton of ranked but uncommitted wrestlers in action, college fans will get a preview of the future of D1 wrestling. What is the greatest high school wrestling event in this country every year? Fargo? U17 World Team Trials? Super 32? You wouldn’t be wrong if you answer with any one of those events, but even in its infancy, the Elite 8 duals can boast a higher concentration of talent than any other high school events on the calendar.

By the end of the Elite 8 Duals on September 24 and 25, the rankings will be in shambles. If all teams send out their starting lineups on day 1, we'll see 50 ranked matchups during pool action alone. The number of ranked bouts will soar on day 2 as the best teams progress through the bracket.

On September 24 and 25, Elite 8 Duals will throw the rankings into chaos when nearly seventy ranked wrestlers descend on Atlanta for the toughest high school dual tournament on the calendar. Pools and day 1 matchups have been set.

Who's Number One gives college wrestling fans a glimpse of what they can look forward to in just a few years on the NCAA stage. we've seen matchups between NCAA finalists like Jason Nolf vs Joey McKenna in 2013, Nick Suriano vs Daton Fix and Zahid Valencia vs Myles Martin in 2014, and Nick Lee vs Sammy Sasso in 2016. The athletes at Who's Number One will make their mark in college wrestling. Get ready for Friday's action by seeing who's already committed, and read about the uncommitted recruits who your team might snag.

After Who's Number One on September 9, the Elite 8 Duals will set the stage for Super 32 like no other event can. It's exclusive. Only 12 teams are allowed in, but those 12 teams will bring an unbelievable number of ranked high school wrestlers. These duals have only been around for a couple of years, but they've already become one of the top stops on the calendar for D1-bound recruits.
