What's up, everybody? Ollie here on the live updates.

First up we have Nick Piccininni out of Oklahoma State and he's going against North Dakota State's Brent Fleetwood.

And we're off. 


Good hand fighting going on. Front headlock for Picc, Fleetwood fights out.

Minute in and these two still feeling each other out.

Picc pressuring forward with one minute left. 

Picc falls into a head inside single. Good sprawl from Fleetwood. Picc comes up with it, Fleetwood gets his hips down and were out of bounds with 20 seconds left.

End of the first period, Picc wins toss and selects bottom. Early jump for Picc, gets hit with caution. Picc is up to his feet, fighting hands and he's out with the first point on the board.

Still just a lot of hand fighting going on, good snap for Fleetwood and he almost gets an angel on a shot.

25 seconds left 2nd period. shot from Fleetwood easily defended by picc, and time runs out.

Fleetwood starts on bottom, up to his feel, good mat return from Picc, Fleetwood up to his feet again but we go out of bounds.

Fleetwood up to his feet again off the restart and Picc runs him off the mat, some calling for stalling.

Restart, Fleetwood up to his feet again and Picc falls to a leg. The count starts and Picc gets hit with stalling, Little over a minute left to go.

Picc almost able to get some swipes on a tilt, Fleetwood gets to safety and we go out of bounds.

Good movement on bottom from Fleetwood, but Picc is following everywhere he goes. Just over 30 seconds and we go out of bounds.

Big Mat return from Picc with 20 seconds left. Crowd Starts to go crazy as Picc completes the ride out for the win.

And you're 125 lb. Big 12 Champion is Nick Piccininni of Oklahoma State with a 1-0 decision. Great full period ride out in the third period and the Cowboys have their first champ.


Now we move on to 133 lbs.

We have Oklahoma State Cowboy, Daton Fix, against the Wyoming Cowboy, Montorie Bridges. Battle of the Cowboys.

Alright, these guys make their entrance. Fix in the Orange Ok State singlet, Bridges in the white Wyoming singlet.


Early hand fighting, 30 seconds into the match no real attacks yet.

Montorie in on a head outside shot, Daton doesn't let him get too deep and we're back to hand fighting. Fix pressuring Bridges out of bounds. Tries to shoot Bridges out, Bridges sprawls and spins in. 

Continuing to hand fight on the edge, and now Bridges backs up brings it back to center. Daton in on a shot and he finishes and takes the lead 2-0, 20 seconds left to go.

Daton rolls through for a tilt, Bridges fights it off and gets to his feet and the period ends with a takedown and ride out for Fix. 2-0 going into second.

Wait a minute, we have a review. Not sure what they're looking for.


Review taking a little while now. Crowd getting restless.

The call is back and its locked hands against Fix, 1 point for bridges. 2-1 in favor of fix. and we start back in the first period with 2 seconds left. And Fix finishes on top. 

Fix's choice and he picks bottom, up to his feet. Bridges hits a big lift and mat return and we go out of bounds, 15 seconds in.

We restart, Fix up to his feet. Bridges falls to a leg. Fix tries to kick out and we go out of bounds with a minute and thirty left on clock.

Fix up to his feet of restart, Bridges falls to leg Fix fights it off and gets teh escape, 3-1 for fix. 

Fix in on a shot with 30 seconds left but he runs out of real estate and goes out of bounds with 20 seconds left and now Bridges gets hit with a stall in the closing moments of the 2nd period.

Tough ride being put in on top by Daton, Minute in and Daton almost gets a turn, puts himself in danger for a brief moment before regaining control.

30 seconds left on top and Fix continues a tough ride, we get a stale mate with 22 seconds left. Bridges with a caution on restart.

Bridges up to his feet, Fix falls to his leg and stays there and gets hit for stalling. Big acrobatic roll and we go out of bounds, and Bridges has 10 seconfs to make something happen.

Daton Fix completes the full period ride out and wins the 133 pound Big 12 title over Montorie Bridges by a score of 3-1.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are 2 for 2 with Kaid Brock coming up for them at 141 lbs.

Brock will be going up against Oklahoma Sooner, Dom Demas, who has looked great this tournament. Should be a fun one here at 141.

We're under way. Brock in the Orange of Oklahoma State. Demas rocking the white Sooner Singlet.


And we're going big early, Demas takes Brock to his back. Brock bridges off and Demas takes him to his back again, AND HOLY COW DEMAS GETS THE FALL. The Oklahoma State fans are shocked.

Dirty Demas goes double inside trip to get the fall and complete one of the most fire conference tournaments I've witnessed for a while.

Moving on to 149 lbs. Kaden Gfeller of Oklahoma State going against Jarrett Degen of Iowa State.


30 seconds in and these guys still feeling each other out.

A minute in and Degen bundles up Gfeller, G backs out of bounds and gets hit for stalling.

Restart with a little less then two minutes left and Degen is in on takedown and finishes to take a 2 point lead.

Degen putting on a good ride, has 35 seconds of riding time when we go out of bounds, little over minute left in the period.

Gfeller able to turn in and get the reversal and they go out of bounds with 49 seconds left. The match tied 2-2 and we go out of bounds.

Degen is out for the one point escape. G in on a shot and Degen defends. 20 seconds left on the clock.

Degen goes for a trip, G counters with a shot but we run out of time.

Coin flip goes in G's favor and he chooses bottom. We got a scramble going on, G able to get the reversal and Degen gets the escape were tied at 4-4 with a minute and thirty left in the 2nd.

30 seconds left and these guys and hand fighting it out in the center of the mat, G doves in on a shot gets his hands locked but he's flattened out on his stomach. Degen tries to spin behind we run out of time and go into the third tied at 4.

Degen chooses bottom, he's up and out and takes a 5-4 lead. G in on a shot, Degen sits the corner and we get a stale mate. minute and fifteen left.

Degen in on a shot, G counters. He's Deep on the shot and he gets the takedown and the crowd goes nuts. 10 seconds left, Degen needs an escape. Degen up to his feet and a big mat return from Gfeller and time runs out with Gfeller leading 6-5.

G leads the OK State fans in their classic chant, but wait a minute, we have a brick thrown to challenge a missed locked hands call.

And call confirmed, Kaden Gfeller wins the 149 Big 12 title. 

Next up, 157 pounds. We have Chase Straw for Iowa State, and for the Oklahoma Sooners, Justin Thomas.

Shot from outside from Straw, Thomas catches him a front headlock. Straw fights out of it and we're 30 seconds in.

High crotch from Straw well defended by Thomas. Thomas looks for an angle on a counter attack but it isnt there. minute and 45 seconds left in the period.

Another shot from Straw, Thomas counters with an arm drag nothing doing on either attempt, minute left to go in the period.

And the period ends with neither guy really able to threaten with a score. 

The flip goes in favor of Straw and he chooses bottom.

Straw up to his feet, big lift from Thomas, and now Thomas has a leg in. Straw comes to his feet and Thomas is still holding on to Straws back, Straw stays on his feet long enough for a stall call against Thomas. Straw finds a way out and gets the escape with a little more than a minute left to go in the second period, 1-0 Straw.

Thomas pulls Straw into a front headlock, tries to bounce it off the mat and look for a shot off of it but it wasn't there and time expires in the second.

Thomas starts the second period on bottom, comes up to his feet and big lift and return from Straw. Thomas is up again and gets the escape 30 seconds into the period.

Straw dives in on a shot, he's flattened out and Thomas is going hard with a cross face and looking to spin behind. Straw able to build up and get the two.

Thomas gets the escape with 20 seconds left, marching forward as he trails 3-2. Straw gets hit for stalling in the closing moments but gets the 3-2 win and Chase Straw takes home the 157 pound Big 12 title.

Now on to 165 pounds.

It's Utah Valley's Demertrius Romero Battling North Dakota State's Andrew Fogarty.

Some hand fighting and snaps from both these guys as they feel each other out. A minute in and Fogarty fires off a leg attack and finishes to take a 2 point lead.

Good ride from Fogarty off of a potentially dangerous restart, a minute and thirty left in the period, Romero up to his feet and out stopping the riding time at 44 seconds. 

Romero gets a single leg in the air, it's close to a takedown and the refs are going to take a look at it, with a lttle less then a minute on the clock.

The refs are back with the call and they say no takedown, the score is 2-1 in favor of Fogarty.

Romero in on a head inside single, Fogarty fights it off and fires a counter shot, gets the leg in the air and finishes for the takedown with about 10 seconds left. 

We go out of bounds with 6 seconds left and it's a 4-1 lead, and the period ends that way.

Fogarty selects bottom going into the second. Foward pressure from Romero but Fogarty gets up and out. 5-1 lead for Fogarty now.

Head inside shot for Romero, Fogarty fights it off with a closed whizzer and gets out in front. Stale mate with 39 seconds left.

Romero in on another shot and gets the leg up in the air, reaches across and grabs the second leg to secure himself a takedown and cuts the lead to 5-3 and finishes the period on top.

Romero starts the 3rd on bottom, Romero turns in and grabs a leg. Fogarty defending with a cross face and a stale mate is called with a minute and 24 seconds left on the clock.

Romero gets up and out and gets the take down to take the lead 6-5. 

Short time and Fogarty is able to get the escape to tie it up, riding time not a factor and we go to overtime we go.

Romero Fires a shot off and he finishes it and Demetrius Romero wins the 165 pound Big 12 Final in an overtime thriller.

Moving on to 174 pounds, we have Jacobe Smith for Oklahoma State going against Taylor Lujan of Northern Iowa. 

Big headlock attempt coming from Lujan, Smith rolls it through and comes up on top, it's 2-0 in favor of Jacobe Smith.

We go out of bounds and get a restart with about 2 minutes left. Lujan up and out the score is now 2-1.

Minute left on the clock and a shot from Smith is stopped by Lujan.

Lujan gets in on a shot with short time left, Smith easily fights it off and the period ends, 2-1 lead for Jacobe Smith.

Lujan starts on bottom, up and out in 10 seconds but Smith now at over a minute of riding time. Score tied 2-2.

Minute left, shot from Lujan, reattack from Jacobe. Fighting hard with a whizzer is Lujan. Smith horses the leg up but Lujan bites down hard again with the whizzer and we end the 2nd period tied at 2.

Smith starts out the third on bottom and gets out in 15 seconds, 3-2 in favor of Jacobe Smith.

Minute left in the third and Jacobe goes double over's and jacks em up. Beautiful inside trip from Smith and we go out of bounds.

Restart in the middle and Lujan able to get a reversal, Smith gets the escape and its Jacobe smith leading 6-4 in the closing moments.

Lujan going upper body trying to make something happen, Jacobe grabs double overs, and time expires. Jacobe Smith wins it at 174 lbs.

Now up to 184 lbs. Representing Iowa State is Sam Colbray. For Northern Iowa we have Drew Foster.

Foster shoots from outside, Colbray stops it. 

About a minute in a Foster fires off another shot only to be stopped again by Colbray. 

Half way through the period and neither guy able to get much going.

Under a minute left, another outside shot from Foster is stopped by a good sprawl from Colbray.

Colbray going upper body looks for a trip but it's not there. They stay in the over under position for a while until they break and the period ends.

0-0 at the start of the second period and Colbray chooses to go underneath. Good movement from Colbray but  Foster able to follow and we go out of bounds.

A lot of movement again for Colbray but again Foster follows,  Foster able to get Colbray flattened out but we go out of bounds again.

 Colbray has a minute to get out and now Foster has over a minute of riding time. Again, Colbray able to get a lot of movement going but not able to get the escape. Colbray flattened out but we get a stoppage and restart with a little less than 30 on the clock.

Foster finishes the period on top for the full period ride out and now has about 2 minutes of riding time.

Foster goes on bottom to start the third and is quickly up and out. 1-0 lead for Foster.

Foster fires off an attack and scores the 2 point takedown to take a 3-0 lead with about a minute left.

Colbray rolls and gets out with 30 left, down by 2 points but Foster also has riding time locked up. Colbray is attacking but not able to get through and its Drew Foster who takes home the 184 pound Big 12 title.

Now at 197 pounds, we have Preston Weigel of Oklahoma State going against Willie Miklus of Iowa State in a battle of two two ten guys in the nation.

Weigel shoots, gets caught in the front headlock of Miklus and we get a stale mate called and restart about 30 seconds in.

A minute left in the first period and it's mostly been all hand fighting from these 2.

First period ends 0-0.

Miklus starts the second period on bottom, Weigl working for his tilt and gets it for 2 points. 2 points go up on the board for Weigel with about a minute left in the period and now over a minute of riding time.

Weigel back to work with his tilt and gets another pair of back points taking the lead to 4-0.

Miklus is flattened out and not moving much and with 20 seconds left Miklus gets hit for stalling and Weigel finishes the full period ride out and goes into the third leading 4-0.

Weigel chooses to go on top and gets Miklus flattened out right away. 

Weigel riding parallel and gets hit for stalling with about a minute and 20 left in the match.

Weigel gets Miklus flat again off the restart and now Miklus gets hit for his second stall call and its a point in favor of Weigel taking the lead to 5-0 and has riding time locked up.

20 seconds left to go and Weigel gets another turn making a statement and takes a 9-0 lead. The match ends and Weigel majors Miklus with tilts. Preston Weigel is your Big 12 champion at 197 pounds.

We are at the final match of the night. The 285 lb. final is between the Cowboy Bulk Job, Derek White, and he's going up against AJ Nevills from Fresno State.

The match starts and these guys go right to hand fighting with some collars.

Front headlock for White, a minute into the match. White fires off a leg attack from the front headlock and scores the 2 point takedown. Nevills calls for injury time and the clock stops with a minute 57 seconds left in the first period.

White gets choice of position after the injury time and elects to go on bottom. A little jumpy on the start and White gets hit with a caution. White gets a reversal and takes a 4-0 lead, Nevills quickly up and out for the escape, making the score 4-1.

Under a minute left and White is pressuring Nevills to the line, White fires of a slick leg attack and gets the finish taking his lead to 6-1.

The match gets stopped due to blood time with 3 seconds left in the first period and a 6-1 lead for Derek White.

We get the blood cleaned up and get started again, White rides out the remaining three seconds of the period takes his 6-1 lead into the second.

White choose bottom and is quickly up and out, White hits a beautiful double and scores another two points taking the lead to 9-1. White locks up a cradle but runs out of space and gets called out of bounds.

White pressing forward again and Nevills backs out of bound and gets hit for stalling but we got some more blood and the clock stops with 20 seconds left in the second period.

Not much else happens in the remaining 20 seconds and the period ends. We go into the third with a big 9-2 lead for Derek White and he also has a minute and 20 seconds of riding time.

Nevills starts on bottom, White goes optional start and gives him the escape. White in on another shot and gets the takedown and quickly lets Nevills up again.

We got a stop in action with under a minute left to go and a 11-4 lead for Derek White.

We start back up again and the Bulk Job keeps the clinic going with a nother takedown, now White has Nevills on his back looking for the pin. Time expires and Derek White finishes the match with a 20-5 tech over AJ Nevills.

Derek  White of Oklahoma State wins the 285 pounds big 12 title.

And now Oklahoma State has won their 60th Big 12 title. That's not a typo, they have won 60 conference tournaments.
