Big Ten Rankings 2017-18

Ranked: All 14 Big Ten 285-Pounders

As with every other weight class, the Big Ten is stacked at 285, with the pound-for-pound No. 1 Kyle Snyder headlining the division. Coon, Nevills, Stoll, and Jennings also start the season in the top 10.

Hemida finished last season strong for the Terps, while Black has been hampered by injuries but is hopefully ready for a final senior season push for the podium for the Illini.

The next four non-nationally ranked heavies are all tightly packed based on past results. Streifel is tied for the most matches and had the most consistent season and thus gets ranked head of the others. Stone has the best win against last year's sixth-place finisher Jacob Kasper. Gross has two wins over bloodround finisher Conan Jennings and nearly qualified for the NCAA tournament. Streck had a couple solid wins, setting himself up nicely for a quality redshirt freshman campaign.

Fletcher, Jensen, and Rebottaro round out the rankings and are all capable of surprising some folks as the season progresses. There is quite a lot of depth in the B1G at 285.
