USA Wrestling packed its schedule with three regional tournaments this weekend, which means dozens of the nation’s best high school wrestlers will be on display over the course of the next three days. 

Here’s a quick breakdown of this weekend’s regional slate and the top wrestlers to watch over the course of the next three days on FloWrestling and Trackwrestling:

Phil Portuese Northeast Regional

When: U23 and Senior men’s freestyle and 8U-Junior girls freestyle on Friday; 8U-Junior boys freestyle on Saturday; Greco-Roman on Sunday 

Where: Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania

How To Watch: FloWrestling 

Who You Don’t Want To Miss: Top-ranked 220-pounder Nick Feldman is the headliner of a star-studded field. The Ohio State recruit is expected to have another top-10 220-pounder in his bracket — New Jersey’s #9 Michael Misita. There’s talent up-and-down the registration list, including Penn State recruit Gary Steen (#9 at 120), Branden Chletsos (#7 at 132), Rocco Welsh (#6 at 152). Welsh is on the entry list at 160, a weight that’s also expected to include #14 Paniro Johnson and #16 Erik Gibson. The 113-pound freestyle bracket in the 16U division is another one to follow with eighth-grade hammer Dalton Perry, #15 Kaedyn Williams and Jack Consiglio, who’s ranked eighth at 106. 

Northern Plains Regional

When: Freestyle on Saturday and Greco-Roman on Sunday

Where: Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

How To Watch: Trackwrestling 

Who You Don’t Want To Miss: Several of the nation’s top lightweights are entered here. The 113-pound entry list includes #16 Alan Koehler, a double Fargo All-American who placed in the top five in both styles at last month’s Cadet World Team Trials, along with #18 Caleb Thoennes and Preseason Nationals All-American Ben Aranda. The field is expected to feature three of the nation’s top young big guys — undefeated Wisconsin freshman state champ Koy Hopke (16U/220), two-time South Dakota state champ Navarro Schunke (JR/285) and two-time Minnesota state champion Max McEnelly (16U/195). Additionally, Cadet Greco World Teamer Ryder Rogotzke (#19 at 170), Kannon Webster (#12 at 120), South Dakota State recruit Derrick Cardinal, Maryland commit Kal Miller (#19 at 152) and Vincent Zerban (#7 at 152) are also on the entry list. 

Western Regional

When: Greco-Roman on Friday and freestyle on Saturday

Where: North Logan, Utah 

How To Watch: Trackwrestling 

Who You Don’t Want To Miss: Jadon Skellenger turned in an impressive showing at last month’s Cadet World Team Trials, where he made the Greco-Roman squad, won the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler Award and reached the finals in freestyle. He’s entered in both styles at 145 pounds. A pair of nationally-ranked big guys are on the entry list at 182 — Joseph Martin (#5 at 170) and Oregon State recruit Ashton Ruchti (#16 at 182). Fargo Greco All-Americans Zeth Romney and D.J. Gillett are entered in both styles at 120, Fargo double All-American Kyison Garcia is on the entry list at 113 and Aden Attao, who placed second in Greco-Roman and fourth in freestyle at the Cadet World Team Trials, is entered in both styles at 285.
