For the second year in a row, the 197lb NCAA finals featured two seniors. However, that does not mean this weight is without a national finalist, as Bo Nickal is bumping up and swapping with Shakur Rasheed.

Zain Retherford has been blowing out everyone under the sun this year.  Until now. All American BJ Clagon tested Retherford, giving him his closest match of the year.  Retherford is ranked 1st in the ASICS FloRankings, while Clagon has fallen to #20.

Penn State's Bo Nickal has been as impressive as any Freshman this year.  The 174 pounder from Texas has already defeated All American's Zach Epperly and Bryce Hammond.  Nickal has shown the ability to turn from top, bottom and neutral this year.  Watch his tricky pin from the bottom position against Rider's Wayne Stinson.  Nickal is set to compete at the Southern Scuffle January 1st and 2nd and will have the opportunity to take on the 1st and 2nd ranked wrestlers in the 174 Pound ASICS FloRankings.

PSU's Freshman Shakur Rasheed made some waves in the 165 pound weight class with his pin over then #12 Conor Brennan of Rider.
