One of, if not the biggest rivalry in the history of college wrestling will come to the most historic college wrestling venue when the #4 Oklahoma State Cowboys come into Carver Hawkeye Arena to do battle with the #3 Iowa Hawkeyes. On paper the dual meet should come to a 5-5 tie in matches which means bonus points and upsets are of the utmost importance and there are 5 swing matches in this dual meet. At 133 #5 Jon Morrison of Oklahoma State will see #3 Tony Ramos who has never lost inside CHA. The marquee match of the night will be at 157lbs when we will see the top two wrestlers in the nation meet. Returning NCAA champion Derek St. John of Iowa will take on returning 3rd place finisher Alex Dieringer of Oklahoma State. These two met in the semifinals at NCAAs last year with Derek St. John winning in overtime. At 165 it will be #2 Tyler Caldwell of Oklahoma State vs #5 Nick Moore of Iowa. At 174 #2 Chris Perry of Oklahoma State will wrestle #6 Mike Evans of Iowa. 197 is #11 Blake Rosholt of Oklahoma State vs #13 Nathan Burak of Iowa.
