Steve is going to use the wrist drag to set up his sweep single. If you have hit the wrist drag on your opponent before or if they just know it's something you like you can fake it and get him to react. When he reacts by taking the outside leg away that's when you go to the other side and hit your sweep single instead of the high crotch.
