The fourth seed out of Central Michigan earned his first All - American honor in 2021 holding true to his seed with a fourth place podium finish. Hildebrandt has been on a steady climb throughout his college career. After going 23-8 during his redshirt year, Hildebrandt finished with a record of 18-18 placing third at the MAC championships to close out his redshirt freshman season. The following season Hildebrandt showed vast improvements finishing up with a 20-10 record on his way to a runner - up finish at the MAC championships and qualifying for the NCAA tournament. The 19-20 season was the best yet for Hildebrandt as he claimed his first MAC title finishing with a 31-3 overall record.
